ORIGIN: East London
Robert was born to Thomas Swallow (s3192) and Mary Jane Marshall during
the third quarter of 1897. in Bethnal Green, East London. He was was
one of eight (possibly nine) siblings.
He married Mary Cawthorne on 26th January 1918 at the Registers Office in Mile End. At the time of his marriage he was living at 65 Sceptre Street, Bethnal Green, E2 (via Marriage Certificate).
By the following October they had their first son - called Robert - and the first of two sons and three girls. For the final part of their life they lived with daughter and son-in-law Dolly and Sonny Evans in Leytonstone, Ell -at 99 Cavendish Drive.
Wife Mary died in 1968 of cancer, spending her final days in St Josephs Hospice, Bethnal Green, E2.
